MastrosBook — Terms and Conditions
Last updated: 10 July 2026
These Terms and Conditions ("Terms") govern your use of MastrosBook (the "Service"), operated by Xenofontas Papastavrou, trading as MastrosBook, of Megaron 6, Aradippou 7104, Larnaca, Cyprus ("we", "us"). By creating an account you agree to these Terms.
1. What MastrosBook is — and what it is not
MastrosBook is a record-keeping and business administration tool for tradespeople. It helps you create quotes and invoices, record payments and expenses, and keep organised figures for VAT periods.
MastrosBook is NOT an accountant, tax advisor, or filing service. In particular:
- MastrosBook does not submit VAT returns, tax returns, or any other filing to the Cyprus Tax Department or any authority.
- The VAT report is a preparation and record-keeping aid. You must provide your records and figures to your accountant or tax advisor, who remains responsible for reviewing them and making your filings.
- Nothing in the Service constitutes accounting, tax, or legal advice.
- You remain solely responsible for the accuracy of the data you enter, for the legal compliance of the documents you issue, and for meeting your tax obligations and deadlines.
- This applies in particular to your business and tax identifiers (VAT registration number, TIC, IBAN, business name and address): they appear on the invoices and e-invoices the Service generates for you, and it is your responsibility that they are true, current, and match your official registrations. The Service may check the format of such identifiers as a convenience, but this is not verification of their validity or of your registration status.
2. Your account
- You must provide accurate registration details and keep your password confidential. You are responsible for all activity under your account.
- One account is for one business. You must be at least 18 and using the Service for business (not consumer) purposes.
3. Your data and your clients' data
- The business records you enter (clients, quotes, invoices, payments, expenses, receipt images) belong to you.
- You confirm you are entitled to enter the personal data of your clients into the Service, and that you use it lawfully. For that data you act as data controller and we act as your processor, as described in the Privacy Policy.
- You can export your figures (CSV) at any time. On written request we will provide a copy of your data in a machine-readable form.
4. Acceptable use
You must not use the Service to issue false or misleading documents, to infringe any law, to attempt to access other users' data, or to interfere with the Service's operation.
5. Fees
- Every account starts with one month free, no card required.
- After the free month, the Service costs €15 per month. You will never be charged silently: payment starts only after you are asked in the app and agree.
- We may change prices with at least 30 days' notice; changes apply from your next billing period.
6. Availability and support
We aim to keep the Service available at all times but do not guarantee uninterrupted operation. We may suspend the Service briefly for maintenance. Keep your own copies of issued documents (download the PDFs) — the Service is an aid, not your only statutory record.
7. Termination
- You may stop using the Service and close your account at any time.
- We may suspend or terminate accounts that breach these Terms.
- After closure we retain your data for 90 days so you can request an export, then delete it, except where law requires longer retention.
8. Liability
- To the maximum extent permitted by law, the Service is provided "as is".
- We are not liable for losses arising from inaccurate data you entered, from filings made or missed by you or your advisors, or from your use of documents generated by the Service.
- Our total liability for any claim is limited to the fees you paid us in the 12 months before the event giving rise to the claim.
- Nothing limits liability that cannot be limited under Cyprus law (e.g. fraud, gross negligence).
9. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms. We will notify you in the app or by email at least 14 days before material changes take effect. Continued use after that date is acceptance.
10. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Cyprus. The courts of Cyprus have exclusive jurisdiction.
